Young men are struggling with finances they need the Financial aid the most due to the consequences being more significant, many men find it particularly difficult to talk about money worries because they associate money with their success as individuals or even as a mark of their character.
Financial stress can lead to poor mental health and this a result of poor financial literacy and financial choices
Lifeline finance is an finance/social media application and we wanted the following outcomes for application. Relevant Information about finances being distributed to young men, a safe space for young men to speak about their finances and Increase Financial literacy amongst young men
The application that’s been designed does the following to address the issues above.
There’s a community board where they anonymously post about the dilemma. This gives users a safe space to speak about their issues through confidentiality ( because amongst young men financial issues aren’t often discussed due to the stigma surrounding males and finances )
Another key feature is the app distributes Articles/information to users of the app that addresses common issues and solutions to dilemmas that demographic is commonly facing.
Process:
The process that went into developing this project included the following; Research about the demographic to find their pain points. Followed by research and insights about best methods to communicate with this group. I then proceeded to sketch and brainstorm ideas this was then followed by a final concept created on Adobe XD.
The reasoning for choosing the selected colour scheme was because the colours represent what the company is about. The colour green is known as colour that represents positivity, solutions and money. Lifeline Finance is trying to market and advertising a solution to a significant issue.  I utilised generic colours ( black, gray and white) to make things very clear and easy to navigate, this was because the topic of finance is already complicated so I wanted to make the application easy to navigate and use. The images used were all based around money and finances to clearly represent the topic of the application which was money.
